Subcontractor Relations

Collaboration

In the right of way business, it is impossible to work in a vacuum. Without the assistance, and often direction, of one or more other consulting firms, contractors, and/or agencies, right of way acquisition can come to a screeching halt.

Cinnabar Service Company has experience working for and with consulting engineers, appraisal firms, surveying companies, construction contractors, regulatory agencies, and - especially - our clients and their designated representatives. We know how to read maps, plans and drawings. All our agents need is the name of the designated contact person with whom we will work. We work exceedingly well in a team environment and understand the importance of seeking and taking direction.

Coordination

Many times Cinnabar clients require the use of professionals for appraisals, surveying, utility relocation coordination, site plans drawings, environmental studies, and even demolition of structures and the associated clearing and proper disposal of debris.

Our experience has shown that coordination of these other professionals' services with right of way acquisition activity can have a significantly positive effect on project timing. Coordination of these other professional services can avoid costly and time consuming “re-do’s” on work and reports that have an actual or presumed expiration date. For example, some agencies will not accept appraisals that are older than six months, and new courthouse filings on titles are known to occur between the original title review and a scheduled closing date.

Cinnabar has entered into direct subcontract agreements with other professional service providers on scores of projects. We consider ourselves to be excellent coordinators and collaborators and we are prepared to work with subcontractors and/or at the direction of a prime contractor.
