Route and Site Selection
One of the most beneficial initial steps in project planning is the performance of a thorough assessment of the proposed route or site. Cinnabar Service Company recommends and is staffed to provide ground reconnaissance and detailed records searches to assist in establishing route and site feasibility.
For road and highway projects, a scoping study or "drive-out" is often conducted by Cinnabar field personnel. This function not only serves to familiarize our agents with the territory associated with the road or highway project, it provides an opportunity for observation that can often identify unknown physical features and previously unidentified structures, such as outbuildings, that can have a direct affect on the proposed route.
A review of current land values will identify important differentiations in unique markets. Identification of topographical and environmental features will highlight flood plains, wetlands and/or archeological, cultural and historical sites, any one of which could have significant impact on project design, cost and ultimate feasibility.
Cinnabar agents know that the first contact with affected landowners often occurs at the route or site analysis stage. This contact can set the stage for landowner relations for the duration of the project. Our agents are experienced in contacting landowners for the purpose of obtaining rights-of-entry for preliminary assessments and are sensitive to property owners’ needs and requirements. Detailed logs of all personal contacts and correspondence are maintained and can be invaluable over the life of the project.
